purple on red

i am a couple days late on my Oscar post, but i couldn't go without sharing my favorite dresses! all the purples won me over, followed by some other personal standouts. E! can say whatever they want, Scarlett's dress for sure stood out on the Red Carpet. my other fav's are below as well.

all in all it was a good show, i was a bit disappointed in Anne & James hosting performance. a tid bit cheesy for my taste, but some great movies got recognized so that makes me happy. yay for Natalie and Black Swan! i also applause True Grit & The Fighter.

i reallllly want to see Winter's Bone & The King's Speech. just love Colin Firth.

a whole lotta zooey

shes quirky, stylish, classic, brilliant and beautiful. which is why i have a HUGE crush on Zooey Deschanel. her timeless style is like a blast from the past. not to mention she's married to the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Gibbard.

my obsession grows further with her band duo.  i admit to owning both volume 1 & 2 of She&Him. their sound is refreshingly unique.
