spring longing
okay okay, so i've been slacking! it's been a full week since my last post. i do have a bit of an excuse though, i started a new position at my company this week! i am now a Rail Transportation Coordinator! MUCH different from my previous Marketing position. this has definitely kept me distracted recently, although it hasn't changed the fact that i am still impatiently awaiting spring time. it's been rainy and cold so far this march and i have some major spring fever.
So on that note, thank you ModCloth for this awesome post last week. these images scream spring, and it couldn't make me smile more. i've done a few things around my house to "spring" up my surroundings. adding bright colors anywhere and everywhere most definitely helps. this weekend the plan is to get out and do some yard work. i can't wait to pick out some bright spring flowers to plant in my garden! :)

last friday spencer and i ventured to tulsa to see Ghostland Observatory. we decided to stay the weekend and hit up the flea market at the tulsa expo and some other local spots... always good to get away!

purple on red
i am a couple days late on my Oscar post, but i couldn't go without sharing my favorite dresses! all the purples won me over, followed by some other personal standouts. E! can say whatever they want, Scarlett's dress for sure stood out on the Red Carpet. my other fav's are below as well.

all in all it was a good show, i was a bit disappointed in Anne & James hosting performance. a tid bit cheesy for my taste, but some great movies got recognized so that makes me happy. yay for Natalie and Black Swan! i also applause True Grit & The Fighter.
i reallllly want to see Winter's Bone & The King's Speech. just love Colin Firth.
